Resumen

At a decisive moment for occupational health nursing in Europe, the Federation of Occupational Health Nurses in the European Union (FOHNEU) is convening professionals, policymakers, and academics for its 8th International Congress. Under the inspiring theme "Leading the Change," an unmissable event for those leading the future of workplace well-being will take place on October 2 and 3, 2025, in the vibrant city of Cork.

This congress represents much more than a space for discussion: it is the perfect platform to respond, through nursing practice, to current challenges such as digital transformation, mental health, the protection of vulnerable groups, and the promotion of equity and accessibility. In addition, the effects of new and existing occupational diseases will be addressed, with a focus on carcinogenic, mutagenic, and toxic substances (CMR), while also recognizing the valuable SME environment and human leadership in managing workplace well-being.

In a post-pandemic world, where hybrid work and emotional pressure have become the norm, occupational health nurses play an essential role as facilitators of the balance between organizational performance and individual health. The congress is anticipated as a hub of innovative knowledge, where well-being in education, technology, and psycho-emotional support approaches can be shared. It motivates us to rethink traditional models and move toward more flexible and inclusive structures.

The conference's thematic axes—digital innovations, training, healthcare worker health, protection of vulnerable workers, occupational diseases, mental health, diversity, inclusion, and leadership—constitute a holistic agenda that reflects the current complexity of the work environment (fohneu.org).
